Anytime we can film something outside of the wedding box it is a welcome change… last night we had the privilege of taping a Black Belt step test at TeamPlayers Taekwondo. Alex Shapiro put on a jaw dropping display and I had a blast putting this together. Alex has been training since the age of 3. Now, at age 17, he has taken another step on his road to Fourth Degree Black Belt. Congrats to Alex!!

Now that it feels more like January than October, I thought I could warm things up a little with our short video from Huntington Park earlier this year. We are planning a return trip to make a real promo video for the park early next baseball season so keep an eye out for that.

A few weeks ago we had the privelage of meeting O.A.R. a few minutes before their packed out show at the LC. They sat down with easyColumbus to talk about how Columbus has influenced their music. They are all amazingly down-to-earth guys and we had a blast hanging out. We have been working on a new promo video for Lt. Dan’s New Legs over the last few months. Normally we just shoot a live performance and call it a day but they were looking for something a little more in depth. We combined a live shoot, an interview with the whole band, and footage from different nights and venues to round out this promo. We had a great time working on this and a special thanks to Erik & Jared who made the trek up to Cleveland for the live shoot.

A few weeks ago we shot a live show for Shucking Bubba Deluxe. They always put on a great show and that night was no exception.
The place was packed which makes things a little more interesting for us but we had a great time.

We have done several promotional videos for The Reaganomics over the years but I realized the other day that I’ve never posted one of their videos on the blog. Last year we had the opportunity to film them at the Lazy Chameleon in Dublin. The shoot was stuck in between two back to back weddings so rather than exhaust my regular crew, I brought in some friends of mine that had never even touched our cameras before. Shooting in a crowded bar is difficult to say the least but our new “trainees” did a great job and we had a blast. That was a crazy weekend for me but I just couldn’t pass up the Reaganomics… I’m definitely not trying to hand you a line so here’s a quick look at their video…

Last month we spent a weekend at the Columbus Bride Show at Vets Memorial. We had the privilege of filming the big fashion show on Saturday afternoon. It’s always an amazing show that is definitely a must see for future Brides. I’ve put together some of my favorite shots from the video here in a short highlight clip.
