Of all the places we have filmed over the years, I have never gotten the chance to film at my home church. So I jumped at the chance to film in the chapel at Vineyard Columbus up on Cooper Road. It was a little bit surreal being there to film instead of for a service but we had a great time. Kathy & Jon are a great couple. They were so cooperative and made sure to schedule enough time for pictures and video. We had some great outdoor locations to work with and the weather couldn’t have been better. Congrats to Kathy & Jon!!

Referrals are what keeps us going. We depend on word of mouth quite a bit to stay busy and this year has been no exception. We especially enjoy the weddings where its the same family that we have filmed before. Last summer we filmed Becky’s sister Amanda’s wedding. They also chose St. Peter’s so all day I had major Deja Vu. Just like last summer we had another wonderful experience and the day was just absolutely perfect. Congrats to Becky & Andy!!

We are in full editing mode here at Prodigy so I’ll make this one quick… Early August we had a fantastic day with Brian & Sara. We enjoyed hanging out with our friends from Lotz Studios although after I accidentally bloodied Mike’s nose I’m not sure they had as much fun with us :) The amazing flower arrangements were done by Flowers on Springtree Lane which Brian’s Mother Robin just happens to be a part of. It was a beautiful day and they picked a great song that I’ve been waiting to use for awhile… Congrats to Brian & Sara!!

There are certain weddings each year that I really look forward to. This special Saturday at the end of August was one of them. Cecilia & Felix are great people that are just fun to be around. There was plenty of joy and laughter all day. It always makes our job so much easier when everyone involved in the big day is enjoying the day instead of stressing about the little things… Congratulations to Cecilia & Felix.. We wish you all the best!!

On a strangley cool day in August we were privelaged to be a part of Tami & Bryan’s big day. Jen & I have known Tami for many years and we were excited to capture the day. Every wedding day has its hiccups and Tami & Bryan definitely had more than their fair share. They both handled it amazingly we…ll and went on smiling throughout the day. They focused on the real purpose of the day instead of sweating the small things. Congratulations to Tami & Bryan and we wish them all the best in their new life together!!

Last weekend I spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon with Christy & Dave. Creekside in Gahanna is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shoot. Christy shoots for Lotz Studios so the whole LS crew was there to capture the big day. The footage was looking really good throughout the day so when it came time for dinner I sat down and put together a quick video trying to show some of the highlights of the day… Congratulations to Christy & Dave! Here is a quick look at their same day video…

Much of what we post on the blog is all about our Music Videos. They tend to be the thing that draws couples to us and with short attention spans on the internet we try to keep the videos relatively short. The main reason that each of our packages include at least 3 cameras is our vow coverage. It enables us to have the three main angles we need while almost eliminating any need for us to move around. Here is a short clip from Meghan & Aaron’s Ceremony earlier this summer. It’s a great example of how we are able to capture the moment without being obtrusive. All of the cameras used here were more than fifty feet away from the altar. Congratulations to Meghan & Aaron!!
Enjoy -Nathan

I love road trips. Filming a wedding out of town is a completely different experience than doing one here locally. In July we spent a weekend up in Cleveland with Rachel & Mike. As it has been all summer the weather was simply amazing. We see many of the same venues here in Columbus week after week so it’s always a treat to shoot in new and exciting places. The highlight of the weekend for me was shooting outside the Cleveland Museum of Art. Not to mention riding around in the biggest limo bus I have ever seen. We had a great time hanging out on Friday with Mike & Kim (Lotz Studios) and it was a great honor to be a part of Rachel & Mike’s big day. Jen has been waiting to use this song on just the right wedding so here it goes… enjoy -Nathan

It’s been too long since my last post… Things have been crazy around here during the busy season but I promise to get back on track shortly. This summer has been amazing. The weather has been perfect and I can’t remember any wedding where I actually was uncomfortably hot. Mike & Katie were married at the beautiful Our Lady of Victory in Grandview. We are somewhat restricted on where we are able to film during the Ceremony there but we try to make the most of it and use the amazing outside surroundings to make up for it. We spent some time at Franklin Park as well before moving onto the new Hilton at Polaris. It was amazing day and we were honored to be included… Congratulations to Katie & Mike!!!
